Fun, delicious gluten-free Halloween treats

On a food-focused holiday like Halloween, if you have Celiac disease or gluten intolerance, it’s really easy to become fixated on what you can’t have (hey Kit Kat and Twix, I miss you guys!). But your Halloween will be much more fun if you focus instead on what you can have–and there are so many treats out there that are safe for you to enjoy. From store-bought candy to homemade confections, check out this list of fun, gluten-free Halloween treats! They’re perfect for serving at Halloween parties or making as treats for your family.

This list from About.com features a variety of treats you can make at home, like meringue ghosts, dairy-free chocolate-dipped caramels, pumpkin seed brittle, caramel corn, and more.

This article from Real Mom Nutrition features a ton of really easy Halloween treats, like Eyeballs on a Stick, Green Goblin Smoothies, and more, all of which are already gluten-free or can easily be made gluten-free. (For the Popcorn Hands, make sure to get a brand of candy corn that you know to be gluten-free.)

This gluten-free, allergy-friendly recipe combines Enjoy Life’s chocolate chips and Vanilla Honey Graham Crunchy Cookies to make a delish coating for these yummy apples. They look totally fancy, but they’re actually pretty simple to make!
