Crispy, crunchy, cookielicious: Glutino’s new Crispy Cookie Thins
Homemade gluten-free cookies are the best, right?
You can’t deny it. But there’s a problem: Many of us lack the time and energy to make homemade gluten-free cookies regularly.
So let me introduce you to the store-bought cookies that taste pretty darn homemade to me: Glutino’s Crispy Cookie Thins.
I admit, I was skeptical when I was opening the bag. I’ve had plenty of crunchy gluten-free cookies before and they just haven’t done it for me. But Glutino’s newest cookie creations bucked that trend and blew my mind!
These cookies are on the larger but thinner side, and also on the crispier/crunchier side. They’re just the right amount of crunchy, though; you won’t have to worry about breaking a tooth on these. And as I said, they don’t taste store-bought to me—more along the lines of homemade.
What really sets these cookies apart are the flavors—and how good those flavors are. So let’s explore them a little further, shall we?
OMG. These taste like Glutino took delicious Devil’s Food cake, added some chocolate chips, and made it into a cookie. These are ridiculously decadent and deliciously addictive. I thought I could stop at just one…but nope. Not a chance.
Serving suggestion: Crush a few up and sprinkle them over vanilla or chocolate ice cream. This crunchy topping will hold up nicely even when the ice cream starts to melt!
It’s the quintessential cookie flavor—with a crunchy, homemade taste and texture. These were really delicious—I couldn’t keep my hand out of the bag in this case, either. They’re perfect for your child’s lunch box or your desk drawer at work.
Serving suggestion: Top the underside of one cookie with peanut butter (I used my very favorite, Peanut Butter & Co’s White Chocolate Wonderful peanut butter). It turns it into a chocolate chip and peanut butter cookie…yum! Or, dip it in your bug of hot cocoa (what, you think it’s too early for hot cocoa in August? Stop it, it’s never too early for hot cocoa!).
This was the most unique flavor—and the one I was most pleasantly surprised by. These taste like fall and freshness, Thanksgiving and homecoming. You can definitely taste the orange in the cookie and the soft, sweet-but-tart cranberries scattered throughout. They’re a sweet treat that may be for a slightly more refined palate than the previous to flavors I mentioned, but wow—they’re seriously delicious.
Serving suggestion: Dip one into your Pumpkin Spice-flavored tea to really take in all the delicious flavors of fall!
Have you spotted any of Glutino’s new Crispy Cookie Thins in your local grocery store yet? Which one is your favorite flavor? And do you plan to share them with your family or keep them all to yourself?
